Hello!
I am interested in pursuing a career in music. I am a guitar player and have been for 19 years. However the possibility of me actually becoming sucessful is pretty slim. So I was thinking how can I still be involved in music and have a steady paycheck? Audio Engineer! So thats why Im here. I wanted to ask someone who knows and has been there done that. Is there good money? Is it difficult to get started? Do I need a degree? I recently was on a website Audio Recording Technology Institute website. They are a nationally acredited school specifically designed for what I am looking for. Thing is its pretty expensive. Tuition is just under 19 grand! Do you have any advice? Its a pretty scary thing if Im gonna borrow that kind of money. They school claims they will place you in a job and the average salary is approximatley 38 grand anually. Is that true? Any advice you can give will be a big help thanks! |
